Ultima Atom 820 Specifications

These specifications are taken from the current official Ultima product listing.

Design and Build Quality

The Ultima Atom 820 uses a dual-tone in-ear design with stems that also serve as touch-control areas.

The charging case has a compact, rounded-square shape and includes a battery-level indicator. The overall design is aimed at everyday portability while keeping the earbuds relatively lightweight and simple.

Ultima offers the Atom 820 in three colors:

• Blue

• Grey

• Pink

13mm Drivers and Audio

The Atom 820 features 13 mm × 2 dynamic drivers, which is one of its key specifications.

The official specifications list a 20Hz–20kHz frequency range and support for AAC and SBC codecs.

The larger 13 mm drivers are designed to deliver a fuller sound profile, particularly for everyday music, videos, and entertainment.

The earbuds are positioned as a budget product, so they do not include premium features such as LDAC or dedicated active noise cancellation.

Environmental Noise Cancellation

The Atom 820 features four microphones with AI ENC.

Environmental noise cancellation is primarily intended to improve voice calls by reducing surrounding environmental noise picked up during conversations. It is different from active noise cancellation, which actively reduces external noise while listening to music.

Therefore, it is more accurate to describe the Atom 820 as having AI ENC for calls rather than ANC earbuds.

Bluetooth 5.4 Connectivity

The latest official Ultima listing specifies Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The earbuds support AAC and SBC codecs and have a transmission range of up to 10 meters under suitable conditions.

The Atom 820 is compatible with Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers.

It also uses Ultima's IWP (Instant Wake N Pair) technology, designed to make connecting the earbuds to a paired device more convenient.

60ms Low-Latency Gaming Mode

The Atom 820 includes a 60ms low-latency gaming mode.

The feature is designed to reduce the delay between on-screen action and the corresponding audio. This can be useful for mobile gaming and watching videos where audio synchronization is important.

Ultima and earlier coverage have referred to this gaming feature as a low-latency or Beast Mode.

Battery Life

Battery life is one of the main features of the Atom 820.

According to the current official specifications, the earbuds provide up to 6 hours of playback at 60% volume, while the charging case brings total playback to up to 30 hours at 70% volume.

Each earbud has a 40mAh battery, while the charging case has a 400mAh battery.

The earbuds also support 5C Boost Charging. Ultima states that 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 150 minutes of playback.

IPX5 Water Resistance

The earbuds have an IPX5 water-resistance rating.

This provides protection against water jets and splashes and makes the earbuds more suitable for workouts and everyday outdoor use than earbuds without a water-resistance rating.

However, IPX5 does not mean the earbuds are waterproof for swimming, and the charging case does not have a separately specified IP rating.

Touch Controls

The Atom 820 uses touch-enabled controls.

Users can control common functions, including:

• Play and pause

• Next/forward

• Answer calls

• End calls

• Other supported touch functions

The earbuds also support Google Assistant and Siri.

Ultima Link App

The Atom 820 is compatible with the Ultima Link companion app.

The app gives users additional control over supported earbuds and is part of Ultima's wider ecosystem for its wireless audio products.
