The Nothing Phone (1) is the first smartphone from Nothing, introduced with a distinctive transparent rear design and the company's signature Glyph Interface. It features a 6.55-inch flexible AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset, dual 50MP rear cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery.

The Nothing Phone (1) was launched globally in July 2022 and officially entered the Nepalese market in April 2023. At launch, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant was priced at NPR 71,999 in Nepal.

Design and Glyph Interface

The Nothing Phone (1) stands out with its transparent glass back and distinctive Glyph Interface. The rear panel contains LED light strips that illuminate in different patterns for calls, notifications, and charging.

Users can customize Glyph patterns for different contacts and notifications. The phone also features an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass protection.

The Nothing Phone (1) has an IP53 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes.

Display

The Nothing Phone (1) features a 6.55-inch flexible AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels.

The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, making scrolling, animations, and gaming smoother. It also supports HDR10+, 10-bit color depth, and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness.

The display also offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive touch interactions.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset built on a 6 nm process.

It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset provides smooth performance for everyday applications, multitasking, social media, photography, and gaming.

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a dual 50MP rear camera system.

The primary camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS and EIS stabilization. It is accompanied by a 50MP Samsung JN1 50MP ultrawide camera with a 114-degree field of view.
